"Craigslist bike theif nabbed" is going to have to be a weekly feature now ...

This happens so often that I'm going to have to make it a regular feature - Craigslist Idiot Of The Week, something like that.

From San Carlos Police Nab Suspected Craigslist Thief

San Carlos police arrested a suspected bicycle thief on Tuesday after a search that involved officers from multiple agencies.

Police said a bicycle worth $500 was reported stolen from an underground storage area in the 500 block of Elm Street on Monday. Investigators discovered that the bicycle was being sold on Craigslist, contacted the seller, and arranged to purchase it.
When officers met with the suspect, 38-year-old Nicholas Rodriguez, of Belmont, he dropped the bike and fled. At 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, officers spotted Rodriguez in the 1000 block of Hall Street. He fled again but police found him hiding under a house nearby after a search that involved officers from the Belmont, Redwood City, and San Carlos police departments.

Also, only tangentially related but it caught my eye - did you know Craigslist is estimated to make $36 million dollars this year - and that most of that is from sex ads?

From the NYT: The estimate was calculated based on the number of sex ads counted on Craigslist over the month of February and the fees for posting such ads — $10 initially and $5 for repeat postings.
